Kayaking
Intro to Kayak – Those of us new to kayaking learn about the basics of kayaks and accessory equipment, stroke and rescue techniques, and how to be safe on the water. Both group lessons and one-on-one with the instructors are available, and time is allowed for free paddling and becoming comfortable with newly acquired skills.

Advanced Flat-Water Kayaking – Skills that are distinct to sea kayaking are learned, and the class builds upon the skills established in the Intro course. Clients will polish their basic skills, learn advanced stroke and safety techniques, and become more confident and independent on the water. Both group lessons and one-on-one with the instructors are available, and time is allowed for free paddling and becoming comfortable with newly acquired skills. ( Prerequisite : Intro to Kayak or equivalent experience.)

Eskimo Rolling – In this course, clients will learn the various techniques of a capsized self-rescue. This custom, self-paced class can be run in a controlled outdoor setting or indoor pool upon request. To get the most out of this class, we encourage clients to take this class as an addition to our general kayaking courses. Both group lessons and one-on-one with the instructors are available, and time is allowed for free paddling and becoming comfortable with newly acquired skills.

Canoeing
Intro to Canoeing – Clients learn to navigate both solo and tandem in canoes, allowing them to first experience how their individual movements effect a boat before working with a partner to perform maneuvers in tandem. Both group lessons and one-on-one with the instructors are available, and time is allowed for free paddling and becoming comfortable with newly acquired skills. A partner (your instructor) can be supplied at no cost for Tandem instruction.

Advanced Flat-Water Solo/Tandem – This course expands on the skills learned in the Intro class and moves on to more advanced technical theory. Boat handling skills are fine-tuned and clients work towards efficiency of motion and proper body positioning in both touring and racing strokes. Both group lessons and one-on-one with the instructors are available, and time is allowed for free paddling and becoming comfortable with newly acquired skills. A partner (your instructor) can be supplied at no cost for Tandem instruction. ( Prerequisite : Intro to Canoeing or equivalent experience.)
